Brunette going blonde- The expert tips to do it the right way

Do blondes have more fun? I’m not sure, but I know that a lot of women feel curious or even decided to give it a try. If you already made your decision to go full on blonde here is a few things you need to consider:

FIRST THINGS FIRST: YOUR HAIR'S HISTORY

Dyed and virgin hair react totally different to products. Do you have virgin hair, never been colored before? If so, I'll recommend starting with color dye and limit the use of lightner, since this will help you get beautiful natural results.

For dyed hair, we might need different products to achieve the desired look. I always recommend my clients to have a color test first, from there we'll guide you on your color journey.

A COLOR FOR EACH SKIN TONE

If you are looking to highlight your beauty, consider your skin tone before choosing a hair color

If you have pale skin, never ever go for ashy colors, that will only age you and give your skin a greyish tone. Beige or sandy colors will be the best fit for you.

If you have darker skin, I’ll recommend gold tones. You will look fresh, brighter and young.

PROFESSIONALS = NO SURPRISES

Changing your hair color can go wonderfully right or horribly wrong. A professional knows the products and techniques that won’t damage your hair and will lead you toward a color and style that will be more flattering for you

HOMEWORK

Dying your hair doesn't finish in the salon, you have a lot of homework if you want to look fresh and healthy. You must always use hydration treatments.

  • Girls with red hue: If you don't want to look like a Weasley family member, you should use a violet shampoo once a week for about 5 minutes.

  • Hydrate and protect: If you have dry hair, you must use a deep conditioning treatment once a week, let it act for about 15 minutes before washing it out. If you have strong healthy hair, you must use the treatment once per month, don't let it dry. Proctect your hair with dry oils and Leave –in conditioners that you can use daily.

WASHING TIPS

Depending on your hair I recommend to wash it every 3 or 4 days, to guarantee no grease accumulates in the scalp.
